What is a house concert?
A house concert is a listening party in someone's home, providing a sense of community and an opportunity to enjoy live music in an intimate setting.  House concerts are becoming a very important part of a musician's survival, and hosting a house concert is a great way to support the arts.

What do I have to do?
It's really easy to host a house concert, and it's a lot of fun!  Once you decide on a date, invite 25-50 friends, family members, and neighbors to your home.  Provide a warm, inviting, and casual place to hold the concert. Lauren's house concerts are usually unplugged, with no sound system, so a living room is perfect!  Ask your guests to bring camping chairs, or arrange your furniture in a concert style.  Food and beverage can be provided by the host, or it can be pot-luck and BYOB. 

Does it cost anything?
Typically, the host asks their guests for an admission fee and all admission goes to the artist.  The host can decide if they want to charge an admission fee or not, but there is a minimum guarantee amount for all of Lauren's concerts.  Cash and checks are accepted.   

How long will Lauren play?
Lauren typically plays two 40 minute sets with a 20 minute break.  She will have CD's and other merchandise available at the shows.
